Merger Photo

1. In the photo, the shadow of one of the girls seems to be cut off, and there's a shift the background between one girl and another. I think I might have a problem with making the background look even and unchanged after I edit myself into the photo.

2. I think that one of the tables in the courtyard would be a good place to take a merger photo.

3. Making different expressions and standing or sitting in different ways would make the photos more interesting instead of the same look over and over again.

4. Wearing different hats, jackets or a changing hairstyles could make the photo more diverse and complex.

Final Exam Preview

1. From these websites I learned the best ways to use iMovie in the ways of editing and working the application. I read about how to put photos and videos together to construct a movie, but movies arent the only things that can be made. You can make movies, trailers, or just put together a collection of videos you have. Along with reading about how to move audio around in a video to have music and other sounds in the background, I found out that you can alter the frame rate of videos, and change the dimensions of your video.

2. I already knew about the option to change the titles of your movies.

3. Discovering that the frame rate of the videos can be changed was a surprise to me. I might use that feature.

4. The thing I am most concerned about in this final project is that my footage wont be enough. I want my video to be a good length, I just have to fill in the blanks with something interesting.

5. Im confident that I will complete the still shots and footage for the final, but Im sure I will have difficulty putting it all together.

6. For my video I plan to do something with friends, like an activity outside of school.

HDR Photography Preview

1. What manipulations to the camera will you need to make to create an HDR image?
The shutter speed and aperture should be altered so that the photos vary in contrast.

2. What equipment will we use to take this type of image?
A tripod and a camera with Auto Exposure Bracketing is recommended for the best results.

3. What is the reason someone might take an HDR image?
For a surreal image that captures a high-contrast scene.

4. What can we expect to happen with the images once we merge them together, what will we see that we might not have seen with just one photo?
Different levels of darkness and variations of color will be more noticeable.

Final Exam Planning

I plan on shooting this assignment this weekend (4/29-30/17) in downtown Austin. I will either document me and friends at castle hill doing graffiti, or milling around South Congress, 6th street, the lake, or just exploring other places in Austin. In order to compete this project I will use my father's camera equipment, basic things like a tripod and lenses. I will narrate at the beginning of the video to explain what will happen, but through the rest of it there will only be music. There will be cut up portions of film throughout the video of actions I or someone else makes, and the still images will be snapshots of activities or quaint scenes.
